Overview
Gothenburg Canoe Club was founded on 11 April 1911 and has its clubhouse on Saltholmsgatan at Långedrag, with the southern Gothenburg archipelago on the doorstep. The club is about sailing canoes and sea kayaking, more for outdoor life and company than racing, though there is some sailing-canoe racing. Members run the house and boats themselves and organise a sailing school, sea-kayak courses and group paddles; the season opens on the first of May.
