Overview
Föreningen för Kanot-Idrott, founded in 1900, is Sweden's oldest canoe club – four years older than the Swedish Canoe Federation. Its clubhouse on Måsholmen islet off Djurgården opened in 1913. Members paddle kayaks and canoes and keep canoe sailing alive, and the club has published a book on Swedish paddling and canoe sailing since 1866.
