Overview
Yacht Klub Polski Gdynia grew out of the sea branch of the Yacht Club of Poland founded in 1924 and has sailed as an independent sea club from the Gdynia yacht basin since 1928. It is one of Poland's leading racing clubs: sailors come up from the Optimist through ILCA, 420 and 29er to the Olympic 470, 49er and 49erFX, and the club crew is among the front-runners of the Polish Sailing League. The club runs Polish Cup youth regattas during Gdynia Sailing Days and in autumn, teaches yacht-skipper and SRC radio courses, and charters a seagoing yacht.
