Overview
Yacht Club "Opty", formerly the "Huta Katowice" steelworks sailing club, was founded on 2 June 1977 on the Dziećkowice II reservoir between Imielin and Chełm Śląski, where it keeps its sailing base. The club's sailing school teaches the PZŻ yacht-sailor course, and the club runs a season of regattas on the reservoir: a family regatta, the night race for the Commodore's Oil Lamp, OPTY RACE, a single-handed race, a summer integration regatta and the Blue Ribbon of Dziećkowice II. There is boat, pedalo and kayak rental, a tavern and cabins.
