Overview
The Lubusz Sailing Club in Sława, founded in 1975, has its harbour on Lake Sławskie, one of the largest lakes of the Lubusz region. In its best years up to 165 yachts came for the Western Lands Cup regatta, and the club hosted Polish championships in the Hornet, Omega and FD classes. Today the club, with 61 members, runs Polish Cup regattas for the Omega and Finn classes every season, the Blue Ribbon of Lake Sławskie, a Summer Cup and an "Australian" knockout regatta, teaches sailing courses and works with the WOPR lifeguards.
