Overview
Jachtclub Scheveningen is the offshore sailing club of the Hague coast, with over 700 members: sailors, sea anglers and divers. It has its own 285-berth marina in Scheveningen's second inner harbour. On the North Sea it runs the IJspegel and IJskegel winter series, the 100-mile Bruine Bank Race (first sailed in 1951), the North Sea Regatta and summer evening races; in May 2026 Scheveningen hosted the ORC Double Handed World Championship. Members without a boat can sail the club boats (two SB20s and a Taling 30), and the De Zoute Optimist youth sailing school works with KWV De Kaag as TEAM WEST.
