Overview
Delfin Sailing Club in Tivat began in 1948 as the Delfin Maritime Shipping Society and has been an independent sailing club since 1951; its first boats were built by members alongside the Arsenal shipyard. In its founding year Delfin's home-built cruisers won the First Sailing Regatta of Montenegro, and today it is the most decorated sailing club in the country. Children start in the Optimist at the summer sailing school, which more than a hundred children attend every year; racers sail the ILCA, and the club's cruisers race around the Adriatic.
