Overview

The Reale Yacht Club Canottieri Savoia was founded in 1893 as the Circolo Canottieri Sebezia and sits on the Santa Lucia quay at the Borgo Marinari, below Castel dell'Ovo. It is a sailing and rowing club in one: its crews have won world titles both under oars and under sail, in 1960 it was the centre of the Naples Olympic regattas and in 2001 it launched Mascalzone Latino's America's Cup challenge. It runs international events in the bay, from match racing to wing foiling, plus winter sailing courses from age 6, summer camps and rowing courses from age 9.
