Overview
Fraglia Vela Riva was founded in 1928 and sits on the harbour of Riva del Garda at the northern tip of the lake. It is one of Europe's busiest clubs for youth sailing: the Intervela week has been sailed here since 1951, along with the big Optimist Autumn Meeting and international ILCA, 29er and RS Feva championships, and in 2012 it set a Guinness record with 1,055 Optimists racing. The club has 250 berths, two slipways, a crane and a workshop and is open all year; the sailing school runs from May to October.
