Overview
Circolo della Vela Marciana Marina was founded in 1972–73 on the island of Elba to promote sailing and other sea sports. It has a permanent sailing school with weekly summer courses on Optimist, L'Equipe, 420, RS Feva and Tridente and school programmes, and since 1985 has brought Italian and world offshore championships to Marciana Marina (IOR, Three Quarter Ton, J/24, Mumm 30 and more). Besides racing it organises offshore cruises and runs harbour services, moorings, a bar and food for its members.
