Overview
Circolo Vela Gargnano, founded in the winter of 1950 as the Circolo Vela e Motore Gargnano, is the historic club on the Brescia shore of Lake Garda and has run the Centomiglia since 1951 – the big race round the lake touching all its main towns. Around the Centomiglia in September there are also the Trofeo Gargnano, the Multicento for multihulls and the Cento Junior for young sailors. Between 2005 and 2007 the club took part in the America's Cup with "+39 Challenge". It runs courses for youngsters and adults and has youth, Olympic-class and offshore teams.
