Overview
Founded in 1965, the Dun Laoghaire Motor Yacht Club is a small, friendly club on the West Pier of Dún Laoghaire Harbour for every kind of boat, from racing dinghies to motor cruisers. It rents serviced swinging moorings around the harbour, including the West Bight, runs a daily launch service from mid-April to mid-October, lifts members' boats in and out and stores larger craft and dinghies beside its slip over the winter. The club is best known for the Viking Marine Frostbite Series, winter dinghy racing in the harbour from November, and for the Kish Challenge race out to the Kish Bank in Dublin Bay.
