Overview

Labud Sailing Club is the oldest sailing club in Split, founded in 1924, with roots in a schoolboys' sailing society of 1919. Its harbour lies in Baluni cove below the Sustipan peninsula, with a slipway and a travel lift up to 25 t, boat sheds and a clubhouse. In 1927 Labud started the Mrduja regatta, one of the oldest regattas in this part of Europe, and it also runs the Vis, Komiža and Paiška regattas plus club and national events. Its sailing school takes children from their very first sail.
