Overview
The Nautical Club of Vouliagmeni was founded on 23 February 1937 and is one of the largest water-sports clubs in Greece, with its own grounds on the Vouliagmeni peninsula and a 50 m pool. On the water it runs dinghy racing (since 1966, a Hellenic Sailing Federation member since 1967), windsurfing and water-skiing, a sport whose first Greek races the club hosted in 1960. A club windsurfer won Olympic gold in Atlanta in 1996. More than 1,000 athletes train daily, including in the swimming and water-polo sections.
