Overview
The Nautical Club of Kalamaki was founded in 1947 and has its base at the eastern end of Alimos Marina on Poseidonos Avenue. It is one of the big sailing clubs of Athens, with dinghy schools (Optimist, ILCA, 420), an offshore school, and coastal-rowing and traditional-boat sections. Every year it runs the "Kalamakeia" offshore race together with the "Traditional Kalamakeia", plus national inter-club regattas for dinghies and J/24s. In 2026 it hosted the ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 Masters World Championships at Alimos Marina.
