Overview

Founded in 1947, the Yacht Club Landais sits on the east shore of Hossegor's sea lake at the plage du Rey, sheltered water linked to the ocean by the Boudigau canal. An École Française de Voile since 1996, it welcomes more than 1,000 children a year on school sailing trips and 300 to 350 course members in summer: 'lake garden' sessions from age 4, Optimist, catamarans, windsurfing and stand-up paddle, a leisure club on Wednesdays and Saturdays, rentals and private lessons. Since 2005 an offshore sailing school has run from Capbreton harbour; the club has about 290 FFVoile licence holders.
