Overview
Strasbourg Eaux-Vives is a canoe-kayak club affiliated to the FFCK and part of the French canoe-kayak school network, based on Rue Pierre-de-Coubertin in Strasbourg. It grew out of a railway workers' club section founded in 1935, became independent in 2000 and has about 300 active members, plus around a hundred schoolchildren every week. Racing drives the club, in wildwater (river descent) and sprint up to international level; it also runs a paddling school for juniors and adults, health sport, summer courses for 8- to 17-year-olds and guided paddles such as the tour of the Aar.
