Overview
Founded in 1863, the Société Nautique de Sète is one of the oldest sailing clubs in the Mediterranean; it is based at the Saint-Louis maritime hub on the mole, in the heart of Sète harbour. The club brings owners and crews together for leisure sailing, cruising on its two club yachts and racing, with boat and equipment loans, training sessions (seamanship vocabulary, navigation) and race practice. It races in and hosts rounds of the Challenge de Thau, the winter series shared by the clubs of the lagoon and the coast.
