Overview

The Cercle de la Voile de Paris, founded in 1858 at Argenteuil, is one of France's oldest sailing clubs; today it sails on the Seine at Les Mureaux. It ran the regattas of the 1867 World's Fair, built France's first club-owned clubhouse in 1877, launched the magazine 'Le Yacht' in 1878 and hosted the Olympic sailing events of 1900 and 1924. The club is a stronghold of the Star, Soling, Monotype 7.50, Dinghy 12' and 505, and races its Bol d'Or every June — the 88th edition was sailed in 2026 — plus an autumn and winter programme of club regattas.
