Overview
Founded in 1932, the Canoë Club Lillois has specialised in sprint canoe-kayak since the early 1980s and rose to second place among French clubs in 2025 and 2026, in the top national division. Based at the nautical centre on Avenue Marx-Dormoy, it has sent an athlete to the 2008 Olympic Games and one to the 2016 Paralympics. Youngsters try both canoe and kayak before choosing at around 12–14; trial sessions and online pre-registration are available.
