Overview
The Yacht Club de Cannes, based at Port Pointe Croisette at the end of the Croisette, organises the Régates Royales de Cannes, the big end-of-September meeting for classic, traditional and metre-rule yachts just before the Voiles de Saint-Tropez. The Régates Royales grew out of Cannes' spring regatta in 1929, in honour of a racing king who sailed his 6 Metre in Cannes bay, and were revived in 1978. The programme brings together classic, traditional and metre boats, Tofinous, Dragons and 5.5 Metres.
