Overview
Nyländska Jaktklubben (Nyland Yacht Club, NJK), founded in 1861, is Finland’s largest sailing club with just over 2,900 members and the first Finnish club to have its statutes confirmed. It has two home harbours in Helsinki – Blekholmen in the South Harbour, with its 1900 pavilion and guest harbour, and the Björkholmen sailing centre – plus ten archipelago harbours along the south coast. NJK Sailing Center trains and races the club’s J/80s, a J/70 and 606s, and the club organises regattas such as the Helsinki Regatta for keelboats and the 2026 Dragon European Championship.
