Overview
The Real Club Náutico de Castellón began in Castellón's Grao with a group of young swimmers who in 1932 obtained permission from the harbour board to form a club on the breakwater, with a first wooden hut. The present clubhouse was begun in 2000 and its royal inauguration gave the club its Real title. Today it has berths with water and power on several pontoons, a boatyard of almost 9,000 m² with a travel lift and cranes from 2.5 to 9 t, and is active in dinghy and keelboat sailing, canoeing, kayak polo, dragon boat and swimming, with a multi-sport school and events for people with disabilities. It runs the Regata Costa Azahar y Puerto Azahar and the Trofeo Magdalena.
