Overview

Pärnu Yacht Club, founded in 1906 at the mouth of the Pärnu river, is one of Estonia's largest sailing clubs and runs its own 220-berth marina with a guesthouse and restaurant. Its sailing school, started in 2008, trains all year round – dinghies (Optimist, ILCA, Zoom8, RS Feva, Finn, 29er) in summer and DN and Ice Optimist iceboats in winter. The club runs a full season of racing – from the May Regatta and Spring Regatta through the Saku midweek series, the Jaan Hermann, Sorgu, Ruhnu and Kihnu regattas to the Autumn Regatta – and has hosted the ORC offshore and Dragon European championships.
