Overview
Tartu's Merikotkas yacht club works from Soinaste street in Tartu, where boats are repaired and iceboats built. Sailing training and club races take place on Lake Pangodi, where the club has a boat shed and harbour by Unipiha school, with a summer camp on Lake Võrtsjärv; ice sailing is on Lake Saadjärv. The club has been active for over fifty years – starting on the Emajõgi at Kvissental, then on the Külitse reservoir and Saadjärv.
