Overview
Sejlklubben Sundet was founded on 8 November 1901 and is today based in Svanemøllehavnen on Østerbro, with its clubhouse on Svaneknoppen and the Sundet Nord base on Baltikavej. The club's sailing school is certified under the Danish Sailing Association's diploma scheme: two years of practical sailing in summer and theory in winter lead to the Danish proficiency certificate and the beginner, crew and helmsman diplomas, with third and fourth years for further training. From April to September there is evening racing with the neighbouring clubs on handicap and in class starts, including Spækhuggers, and the club regularly hosts national class championships. Members can borrow club boats, and there are weekend cruises and a summer cruise.
