Overview
Kerteminde Sejlklub was founded on 9 December 1947 and has its clubhouse on Kerteminde Marina on the Great Belt. The Nordic Folkboat has shaped the club for decades – the boats were built in Kerteminde and club sailors have won many national titles and Gold Cups; through the season there is one-design racing for Folkboats and evening racing for keelboats, double-handed too. The club hosts the Egmose Fyn Rundt (Round Funen) race from Kerteminde and runs the Romsø Rundt distance race on the first weekend of September. There is a sailing school with the Danish proficiency certificate, club boats to borrow, and a youth section with Optimists and ILCA dinghies.
