Overview
Warnemünder Segel-Club (WSC) was founded in 1925 and has its grounds, pontoons and crane on the Mittelmole in Warnemünde. The association races off Warnemünde in July 1926, in which the WSC took part, count as the first Warnemünde Week – and today the club, with just over 200 members, runs one of Germany's biggest sailing weeks. For juniors it organises the WIRO InterCup with up to 180 Optimists on the open Baltic; its youth sail Optimists, ILCAs and 420s. The club was re-founded in March 1990 after German reunification.
