Overview
Verein Seglerhaus am Wannsee (VSaW) was founded on 6 October 1867 on the Havel with 14 members and eight boats and is Germany's second-oldest sailing club. Its 1910 clubhouse stands on a waterfront plot of about 10,000 m² on the Großer Wannsee. The club runs some ten regattas a year on the Wannsee, always including at least one International German Championship, and has co-organised Kiel Week with the KYC and NRV for decades. Its juniors, the 'Wannseeaten', sail Optimists, ILCAs, 420s and 29ers; visiting boats have two marked berths on the outer mole.
