Overview

Lindauer Segler-Club (LSC) was founded on 20 February 1889 and is based on Lindau island; its 1993 clubhouse houses the Mole 3 restaurant. Since 1951 the club has run the RUND UM, the big long-distance race around Lake Constance. The club harbour holds 110 boats plus 50 dinghies ashore, and the club has its own 6 t crane at Zech. The 8 Metre 'Bodan' has belonged to the club since 1937; LSC crews also race J/70s, Lacustres, 45 m² National Cruisers and 30 m² Skerry cruisers on the lake. Juniors start in the Optimist from age seven and move on to the 29er, ILCA, 420 or 470.
