Overview
Kölner Rudergesellschaft 1891 (KRG) was founded on 15 May 1891 and has its grounds on the Rhine bank in the south of Cologne, with a large boat hall, gym, sports hall and tennis court. Today the focus is recreational rowing on the Rhine, with a modern fleet, touring trips and club events. Beginners learn on the roughly 2 km Otto-Maigler-See in Hürth, a former regatta course, before moving to the Rhine; free taster sessions run several times a year.
