Overview
Kanuverein Laubegast Dresden has its boathouse on the Laubegaster Ufer on the Elbe in eastern Dresden. Its roots go back to 18 February 1928, when local canoeists formed a boating section in Laubegast; it was founded as an independent club in November 1990. The focus is sprint canoeing, with training groups for beginners, schoolchildren and juniors up to performance level, alongside the 'Dresdner Löwen' dragon-boat team, canoe touring with trips such as the Zschopau-Mulde tour and the club's own Winter Elbe tour, and fitness training.
