Overview
The Zürcher Yacht Club has its clubhouse and 1917 boathouse on General-Guisan-Quai in Zürich-Enge, right in the city at the lower end of Lake Zurich, and a second site, the Bächau on the Walenseeli at Bäch SZ, on the upper lake. Racing is at its heart: it runs the Zürcher Frühlingspreis, the three Zürcher Herbstpreise, the Tag- und Nachtregatta (day-and-night race), the Zunftregatta, the Zürichsee Cup and the Vintage Starboat Race, among others. Members can sail club pool boats – J/70s, Onyx, ILCAs and more – and the JUGA youth section trains weekly in Optimists, 29ers and keelboats.
