Overview
Founded in 1922, the Yacht Club Rapperswil has its harbour at Rapperswil on the upper Lake Zurich, where members rent open berths on the mole and on buoys. A racing club at heart, it runs club regattas for keelboats and dinghies, the International Whitsun Regatta and International Spring Regatta and usually, every other year, an international Swiss championship – in 2026 the German and Swiss Star championship. It also offers beginner and follow-on courses for young people from 12 and students, racing courses, coaching and sailing on the club's own Onyx.
