Overview
With more than 80 years of history, the Segel-Club Enge is one of the three big sailing clubs in the city of Zurich. Its clubhouse is on the Mythenquai right by the Landiwiese, with a second base at the Bächau on the upper lake; members can rent buoys in the club mooring field, dinghy spaces and a club yacht. The club runs the open 7 o'clock Race – sailed without entry for more than 30 years – the Saffa-Inseli-Cup for Optimists, the Zimmerberg-Trophy and the Zurich–Horgen–Zurich distance race in the ZLC long-distance cup, and races in the Swiss Sailing League. Juniors train in Optimists and 420s.
