Overview
Founded in 1918, the Cercle de la Voile Vevey-La Tour sails between lake and mountains on the Haut-Lac at La Tour-de-Peilz, next to Vevey. It runs seven or eight regattas a year, including the famous Régate des vieux bateaux (classic boats, 49th edition in 2026), the Trophée du Maharadjah, the Championnat de la Tour for 6.5 m SI, 6 Metres and Corsaires, and the Challenge Pingouins. Its sailing school, set up in 1999 and run by qualified coaches since 2004, offers weekly courses from April to October in Optimists, RS Fevas, catamarans and Lasers, summer camps, private lessons and sail and motor licence courses.
