Overview
Founded in 1953, the Cercle de la Voile de Vidy brings together almost 400 members at Vidy harbour in Lausanne. Affiliated to Swiss Sailing and strongly focused on racing, it has organised the 5 Jours du Léman for over 35 years – 120 hours of non-stop racing in double-handed Surprises – plus the Winter Challenge on the first Saturday of each month from November to April and, with the Club de Voile Lausanne, the club series from April to September. Its training centre runs dinghy and keelboat courses for children and adults, from first steps to the sailing licence, and a selected racing squad.
