Overview
Yacht Clube da Bahia (YCB) signed its founding charter on 23 May 1935, set up by a group who wanted a club built around a boatyard in the sheltered waters of the Bay of All Saints. The club sits on the Ladeira da Barra slope in Salvador, with a boating base, boat shed, two slipways, a 24-hour boarding pier, pools, restaurant and gym. Sailing is the club's oldest sport, alongside swimming, fishing, canoeing and SUP; in 1959 YCB started the Morro de São Paulo – Yacht Club da Bahia offshore race and it runs the Salvador offshore sailing circuit.
