Overview
Cabanga Iate Clube de Pernambuco, founded in 1947, has its main base in the Cabanga district of Recife on the Pina basin and an outstation at Maria Farinha (Paulista), where the dinghy racing is held. It organises Refeno, the Recife–Fernando de Noronha International Regatta, started in 1986: 295 nautical miles from Recife's Marco Zero to the island, for ORC, RGS, MOCRA, multihulls and other classes. Its sailing school is open to members and non-members, from Optimists to youth boats (ILCA, Snipe) and offshore courses for adults on a 32 ft yacht.
