For visiting boats
Santa Barbara Harbor is the city-run harbor on the Santa Barbara Channel, built in 1929 behind a breakwater a short walk from Stearns Wharf and State Street, with 1,139 slips shared by yachts, commercial fishing boats and small craft. It takes visiting boats from 20 ft up to 170 ft on a first-come, first-served basis: tie up at the Harbor Patrol dock at the west end and register in the office upstairs. Visitor rates are per foot per night, doubling after two weeks, with a 28-night limit; power and water are included in most slips. The fuel dock is open daily 07:00–18:00 with pump-outs there and in Marina One, and Harbor Patrol keeps watch on VHF 16 and 12 around the clock.
