For visiting boats
The City of Newport's Harbormaster, based in Perrotti Park on the downtown waterfront, runs Newport Harbor's public transient docks, dinghy docks and city moorings and the Newport Maritime Center. Visiting boats up to 40 ft can tie up by the hour at Perrotti Park or the Ann Street Pier, first come first served, but there is no overnight stay at these docks; overnight visitors take a city transient mooring, also first come first served, by calling the Harbormaster on VHF 16. The Maritime Center is the city's first stop for visiting boaters, with information on showers, fuel docks and pump-out around the harbor.
