For visiting boats
The Mystic Seaport Museum Marina lets boats lie right inside the museum on the Mystic River, a short run up from Long Island Sound past the railroad and Route 1 bridges, among historic ships such as the whaleship Charles W. Morgan. Everyone arriving aboard gets free museum admission and the run of the grounds after hours, and dockage includes water and Wi-Fi; electricity is extra. Rates are per foot per night, higher at weekends, with discounts for museum members, and the marina also runs a 200 ft day dock in downtown Mystic for dock-and-dine stops. The dock office answers on VHF 71.
- Guest berths
- Book through Dockwa; open all year. The dock office is on Chubb's Wharf near the whaleship Charles W. Morgan. The docks are north of both the railroad and highway (Route 1) bridges: the railroad bridge opens on call unless a train is due; the highway bridge opens at 20 minutes before the hour 07:40–18:40 and on call outside those hours — both work VHF 13. The channel is narrow and twisting, use chart 13214 and keep strictly to the buoys. Complimentary museum admission for everyone aboard.
