For visiting boats
DuSable Harbor is the downtown harbor of the Chicago Harbors system, at the foot of Randolph Street, the only Chicago harbor with slips right by the Loop. Built in 2000 by closing off part of Monroe Harbor, it is entered through Monroe Harbor and north along the eastern breakwater, with Columbia Yacht Club on its south side. Its 420 slips take boats from 30 ft to 60 ft and more, all with power and water; there are boater restrooms, laundry, a harbor store and free pump-out. Transient slips are booked through Dockwa from May, priced per foot by length, and the harbor works on VHF 9 and 16 with 67 as the working channel.
