For visiting boats
Portland Marina lies on the north shore of the Isle of Portland inside the breakwaters of Portland Harbour, backed by the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. Depths of 4–4.5 m at chart datum in the fairway and marina suit almost any yacht, and the visitors' area is just inside the north breakwater entrance with a serviced fuel pontoon. Ashore there are showers, a laundry, the Salt restaurant and a boatyard with a 50-tonne travel hoist working at all states of the tide; Weymouth is a short sail or bus ride away.
- Guest berths
- Enter Portland Harbour by the North Ship Channel (the South Ship Channel is obstructed) after calling the harbour authority on VHF 74; obey the entrance traffic lights. Follow the fairway to the inner safe-water mark, then south to the marina's north-side breakwater entrance and call VHF 80; the visitors' area is to port inside. Fairway and marina kept to about 4–4.5 m at chart datum; 6-knot harbour limit. Serviced fuel (red diesel, E5 petrol) 08:00–17:00, to 19:00 Thu–Sun in peak holidays.
