For visiting boats

The Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron marina lies inside the St Kilda breakwater beside St Kilda Pier, a tram ride from the Melbourne CBD. The 250-berth floating marina was built in 2013–14 together with new breakwaters, and the breakwater is home to a protected colony of about 1,200 little penguins. Visitors are welcome overnight or for longer, with published casual rates from $60 a day for 10 m to $120 for 20 m. Call the Squadron on VHF 72; St Kilda's restaurants and the club's historic clubhouse are a short walk up the pier.
