Overview
Kristiansunds Seilforening has brought together the sailors of Nordmøre since 1917. The racing season is built around 16 midweek races in the Kristiansund skerries, sailed on windward-leeward courses or offshore depending on the weather, and the distance races Frei rundt, Kirklandet rundt, Grip rundt and Godtaren rundt in October – Grip rundt swaps with Frei rundt in bad weather, and the other way round in light airs. Vidar's Memorial Race is sailed on Harbour Day in June. Racing is open to ORCi, Club Class (NorRating) and single- and short-handed boats, and informal evening races are encouraged through the summer holidays. The club also sails cruises in company, such as the Whitsun cruise to Bøfjorden.
