Overview
Twickenham Rowing Club was founded in 1860 and is one of the oldest and largest rowing clubs in London. Its clubhouse is on Eel Pie Island, on the non-tidal Thames between Richmond and Teddington. It has senior, masters, club, development and junior squads and runs learn-to-row courses each year. The riverside clubhouse can host events for up to 140 guests. The club organises Twickenham Regatta, which dates from 1923 and is raced from stakeboats upstream over 850 m, from near Glover's Island to Ham House.
