Overview
The Royal Forth Yacht Club has sailed from Granton Harbour on the south shore of the Firth of Forth, a short bus ride from Edinburgh city centre, for over 150 years. It lays serviced moorings in the harbour with a manned launch service, runs a boatyard for storage and maintenance, and with the Forth Corinthian Yacht Club jointly owns the Edinburgh Marina visitor pontoon. Keelboat racing uses marked courses off Granton and in Wardie Bay: opening and closing regattas, club series, passage races with the Forth Corinthian, the Edinburgh Regatta for all keelboats and a One Design Regatta for Dragons, H-Boats, Squibs and 707s. The club also has club boats for members, open sailing sessions, a cadet section and a cruising programme.
