Overview

Molesey Boat Club rows from Barge Walk at East Molesey, on a 4 km stretch of the Thames opposite Hampton Court. Founded in April 1866, it is a British Rowing Centre of Excellence with a high-performance programme that has produced Olympic, Paralympic and world champions. It also has masters, recreational and junior squads, and members range in age from 13 to 93. Adults can start with a sculling experience week and a crewed learn-to-row course, and juniors have their own learn-to-row programme. The clubhouse, with a riverside café, is available for hire. Molesey Regatta and the Molesey head races are run by a separate committee that the club supports.
