Overview
Lymington Town Sailing Club was formed in 1946 in the town's old Salt Water Bathing House of 1825 on the Lymington River and was named RYA Club of the Year in 2023. It races dinghies all year round – Sunday mornings throughout the year and evening racing in summer – and hosts major open events such as the International 6 Metre British Championships, the Merlin Rocket Silver Tiller regatta, the Lymington Dinghy Regatta and the Solent Circuit; it also has a yacht section, club dinghies and paddleboards for members to hire, and is an RYA Recognised Training Centre for dinghy and powerboat courses.
